Audubon County is located in West Central Iowa. It was named for John James Audubon, an American naturalist and painter.
The seat and largest city are both Audubon. The county borders Carroll, Guthrie, Cass and Shelby Counties.
Main highways include US-71, IA-44 and IA-173.
